Summer Look Book December 2013

Hey Reader!

My gorgeous friend ChloeTheJean (Chloe Osmond) and myself decided to create a Summer Look Book. Now before you question the seasons, there's this thing called hemispheres! I live in the Southern  hemisphere, South Africa to be exact :) and it's a lovely summer season :)

Photo Fun

Yesterday (23 November 2013) my fellow friends (Siba and Chloe) and I were little waitresses for Chloe's mum's "Coffee on the Stoep" day for a few hours.. Let me tell you! I respect the art of waiting on people.. Our feet were killing us by the time the little "Coffee on the Stoep" ended!

"Coffee on the Stoep" is a little something Chloe's mum hosts every November. It's basically a small thing where she sells the jewelry she makes through the year and you can have breakfast or your 10 o'clock tea on the stoep for R30 (South African rands). She makes a variety of foods from quiches to triple chocolate mousse cake to pecan meringues.. It is endless and all oh so delicious! This runs from 09:00-13:00 so us little waitresses were constantly busy!

After the little "Coffee on the Stoep" we decided to take a little walk to the Dale fields. (I know! Very ironic and counter productive! shush :P ). There we took a few photos and decided to "act like models" XD It was a lot of fun though, so here are some of the photos we took..

Music is Life

Hey Reader!♥ 

Welcome back to my "Music is Life" post part 2! If you have no idea what this is, it's basically where I share the songs that I have taken a liking to in the past weeks.

NUTELLA-BAR-ONE-CHOCOHOLIC’S-FRAPPE

So recently it had been waaaay too hot in South Africa as we are approaching SUMMER *excited face* The sunies wearing, dress wearing, tanning season!

I absolutely love summer! I like to call it the sun dress season, because really all I wear during summer are sun dresses, shorts (even though I am not a fan of my legs) and tanks! Is there anything better?

Summer is all about lounging at the pool with friends, sun tanning, boy checking (let’s be real here now :P) and ice cream eating and perfect milkshake/cold ice frappes.

Now I have to admit, I had NO IDEA what the hell a frappe was before I looked it up! We don’t have a Starbucks here in South Africa, the closest thing we have to somewhat resemble a Starbucks is the franchise Mugg ‘n Bean and let me tell you they make some seriously amazing coffee and food!!! NOM! But unfortunately there’s not a Mugg ‘n Bean in the town I live (because it’s just damn too tiny!) so that means I have to go to the town over where there are 2! But it’s so rare that I ever go there!

Off topic! Now, as I said I had no idea what the hell a frappe was so I looked it up and I found this recipe (below) on Twitter (*cough* my Twitter @SarahRoze97 *cough*)

  

So I was really really desperate and bored one day I decided to make my own frappe and let me tell you, it was amazing and divine! It felt like a cloud had settled on to your tongue and fairies were tickling your taste buds!
I am a chocoholic but more specifically a Nutella-holic! This is my turn and creation of the
NUTELLA-BAR-ONE-CHOCOHOLIC’S-FRAPPE

Ingredients:

    1 cup of milk

    2 tablespoons of sugar

    2-3 tablespoons of Nutella

    2 Cups of ice (or one tray)

   1/8 tsp vanilla essences

BLEND IT ALL UP!  

And there you go!! The end product!!

Music is Life :)

MUSIC        

Now I am 100% sure everyone loves music! If you don’t love music and you’re reading this blog, GTFO… KIDDING J But seriously though, if you don’t love music what do you live for? And don’t tell me food! That’s another topic all on its own!  

But really, what do you do for entertainment, besides watch TV and TV is never without some kind of music. I don’t understand people (if there are any) who don’t love music? To me music is everything, it’s what calms me when I’m angry, it excites me when I’m feeling a bit sluggish, it makes me smile when I’m down. Basically music just seems to understand my moods when my friends don’t, am I the only one who feels like this?  

Music on its own is a whole different language. A language you can interpret yourself. A language everyone seems to understand. Music will be there for you where-ever you are. No matter what country, city, town, province etc. you are in, music will understand you and be with you when no friend or family can.

I listen to various types of music depending on my mood. I can go from rock to alternative rock to indie to plain Top 40.
Music I don’t listen:

• Some raps
• Gospel
• Some house music mostly, otherwise I can tolerate most music.

I pride myself in listening to music that most (all) of my peers don’t listen to. Most of the people in my school listen to Top 40 and mostly “ghetto” music. (Rap and house)

Since this is my first blog I am a bit apprehensive about doing this, but I believe in the saying don’t knock it till you try it… Or just say yes – Zoella
